A little Friday nostalgia anyone? 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 10
I was browsing the News Feeds here at Ludicrus (see left hand menu) today and saw an article over at Wizards that got me all nostalgic.

The article in question was a spotlight on the Gelatinous Cube now available in the miniatures game. I remember a cube being one of the very first monsters I came across when I started playing D&D back in about 1981. In those days it was a pretty simple game - someone designed a dungeon on a bit of graph paper and the rest of us formed a party of characters which wandered around, aimlessly killing stuff and collecting the gold pieces that always seemed to be left behind.

Here I am 26 years later still doing the same thing every Monday evening! The dice are prettier, the rule books are thicker and far more complex but the basic principals are enough to keep me coming back for more.

Sad thing is I can't remember the last time I came across a 'Jelly Cube'.

Care to recount your own memories of your favourite game?

Now there is never any replacement for Heroquest!! I recieved off that lovely man Santa Claus for christmas one year and my whole family played through the entire scenario book, one mission every week. I was ALWAYS the Dwarf for some unknown reason.

Perhaps i have a deep psychological attraction to short bearded men, but that can be discussed on a different thread.
