Ludicrus Events

Hi all,

Thought I'd try to get the forums a bit more active with an introductions thread.

Here's the idea: You tell us what you play, where you play it, what you'd like to play if you get the chance, and maybe a little about yourself, and hopefully someone else will look in and tell you where you can have a go. Maybe make some new friends as well.

I'll start us off. Some of you already know me, but there are plenty of others I don't know.

I play Warmachine over at Bury Wargames, and any random games going, such as Munchkin, Talisman, etc. at FNM in Ipswich.

I also play D&D and World of Darkness with some friends in and around Ipswich.

I don't get as much of a chance to play as I'd like at the moment since I'm away at Uni, but when I'm back home I'm always up for a spot of gaming

Hi im Josh, and im a devotee of FNM at ipswich. I also play at the lesser known coddenham games club.
I went to Bury wgc last time and realy liked and am going again this week so hope to be a regular.
I play MTG, warmachine/Hordes and the odd game of Munchkin and other miscellanious dodahs and oddities.

but i play magic and WOW i try and class myself as a good magic p_layer_ lol (well a so so p_layer_) i have just won the morningtide pre-release soo im happy

OK I suppose I'd better practise what I preach and add my intro...

I've been playing RPGs for about 25 years starting with the early version of D&D. These days I play most Monday evenings with a small group (which contains most of the Ludicrus organisers) - I'm somewhat alarmed to realise that we've been meeting weekly for about 15 years now! Sorry I don't make it to any of the local clubs but when you get to my age there tends to be other commitments like work and kids!

As well as D&D we've had brief encounters with Cthulhu and Rolemaster but we seem to always return to old faithful.

I also enjoy board games and have tried a couple of card games in the past (MTG etc.) but it's not really my thing.

I got involved in the organisation of Ludicrus because I've always enjoyed attending the conventions like Gencon and I thought it would be great to have something local so people who aren't able to travel to the bigger events can get a taste of the fun to be had.

I'm looking forward to meeting a lot more of you at the year's Ludicrus - please keep giving us the ideas to make it the event you want.
