I blame Myandar for getting me into all this (as well as lots of other things ). One day he asked if I fancied playing this D&D game with this group of lads and he'd teach me the basics first - Sure I said! I'd hardly call a room with sideways gravity, a greased floor and a spike pit in the centre, the best learning experience but I survived! That weekend I was handed my first real character a 5th level Fighter named LLendorig which I played for many years.

Still playing D&D in the same Monday group as Kelvin and Myandar, with similar dabbles into Rolemaster and Cthulu.

Played MTG in the early days when Sengir Vampires, Dark Rituals and Plague Rats were popular

Heya! I'm Matt, a regular loiterer in Runik Games that plays Magic the gathering, Warmachine, Dungeons and Dragons, and Warhammer if I must.
For clubs, I attend a club down in Woodbridge, and I'm going to start going to Bury wargaming as soon as I can. I need to get some steam-mileage out of my Cygnar!

PS. Explaining the user-name...Well, there was a "Dismal faliure" magic card next to me as I chose my user name...I still even managed to spell "Failure" Wrong to, I guess that's the god's of dice telling me to call it a night...

It all started with D&D, like for a lot of people, the red box basic set and the blue box expert being memorable. I played a lot of other games (inc rolemaster) before giving up when I had to start working for a living!

Then I had that typical mid-life crysis and returned to gaming only to find that "role playing" and "game" now had a singular dictionary entry that was not the sum of the two individual terms!

I have been running a BECMI game on and off for the last six months with some sucess at re-creating the old magic, but alas I know the hardcore 3E gamer is getting bored ...
