I wanted to get a discussion going regarding board games.
What are your most memorable board games from your youth?
What game do you love playing now?
What would you like to see comeback or a whole new concept?

Heroquest for the win. the game that started it all for me (and many others), incidentally on the lookout for a new (unpainted,complete) set, preferably the advanced quest version.....

new game-wise, settlers of catan, twilight imperium, WoW, battlelore, zombies!!!, and too many others to list.... good place to check out new games is www.boardgamegeek.com

Favourite board game of recent years has to be Ticket to Ride. Who thought trains could be so cut throat.

Still get a giggle out of Zombies.

Also found my old copy of Mertwigs Maze, so cheap looking now and yet so classic. Ah good times

Favourite board game for me is Talisman.

It's gonna be hard to beat and I've just heard that Fantasy Flight Games have bought the rights to produce both Talisman, it's expansions and the Dark Heresy RPG from Games Workshop.

So it looks like an effective games company will now be producing one of the best board games ever devised!

You've got to love the WOW board game, though it does go on abit, but the No1 board game of all time's got to be Blood Bowl (yes it is a board game, you play it on a board!)

Can't beat a bit of talisman. Although Risk, Heroquest, Hotel and Monopoly have to right up there as games that carry fond memories.

Doubt it counts as a board game, but Crossbows & catapaults was pretty cool (it was found in the boardgame section of toymaster...) Never actually knew what the rules were, but it was good fun firing plastic disks at each other....
