Well its here the next installment.

Of what i've read sofar. The races are ok, they maybe fit a gap in the market so to speak, if you do not like Dragon born then now you have the Goliath, If you do not like Elves then now you could go for the Deva.

The thing that makes this book worth while is the new classes, they give the game a bit of a zing. I myself have voted for the Druid as the better of the bunch sofar but remember i havn't read it all yet so i could still change my mind.

I think as with the first players hand book that taking a Character all the way to 30th level in the one book is just asking for rapid advancement , which i think will not help anyone get to know there character for better play, they just want to get as high as they can as fast as they can which makes more combat worthy as they can.

Playing in the D&D Game day on Sunday with 11th level  Characters was fun  BUT there was no Role playing as the combat seemed to take longer than a 1st to 3rd lvl game, there was just so much more in the way off powers and feats to trudge through and the fact that we hadn't grown with them ourselves.

So what i think may have been better was to put all the races and classes in one book to start with then put the levels from 10 on up to 30 in the second book that way it would have given everyone a hero that they wanted in the first place but the higher levels  could have been the point of the second book   making the next set of powers and feats the gift of fun in the players hand book 2.

never the less i still got it as soon as possible from my friendly neighbourhood  game stockest.

Rituals

This book has some fantastic new rituals in it like this one , brilliant.
