Announcing the Painting Categories PDF Print

Get your thinking caps on, your paints and brushes out. It's time to prepare for the Ludicrus Painting Awards 08!!!

 

With a high amount of talent, and up and coming painting masters, the competition will be fierce in this years event.

 

The categories are as follows;

  • Under 16's - Any model mounted on a base of 50mm or less
  • Small Figure - Any model mounted on a 35mm base or less
  • Large Figure - Any model mounted on a 40mm base or larger (maximum 75mm)
  • "Pocket Diorama" - Any dramatic model/models arranged in a dramatic fashion, mounted on no more then a 100mm x 100mm base
  • The Ludicrus award of Patriotism - This is the first of many challenges that Ludi will put too you all. Any model can be converted and painted too dictate a simply British feel. Be it a heavywarjack painted in the Union Jack, or space orks dressed too kill in their redcoats and busbys. Any model mounted on a 75mm base or less.

The "Ludicrus award of Patriotism", is the first of a prestigious annual challenge put to you guys and gals, each year bringing a new challenge for you too conquer. All entries will be judged on quality of painting, originality of entry, and overall Britishness. Get your thinking caps on and get some entries to blow the judges away! That doesn't neccessarily mean you go and buy a historical figure of a british soldier and bring it to the competition, we want to see the crazy imagination that is tucked away in your scary minds!

 

All other categories will be judged on overall appearance and quality of paintwork.

 

All entries are open to any genre of miniature - historical, fantasy, science-fiction or anything else that might fit.

 

So get to work everyone there is only seven months to produce your work of art!!!

Oh yeah

The "The Ludicrus award of Patriotism" is what I what I paint for. The categories are good for me! Love 'em. Give me red, white and blue! I already have my model planned
