Gary Gygax the co-founder of Dungeons and Dragons in 1974 has died at his home on Lake Geneva, Wis. at the age of 69.
He will always be remembered as the pioneer of Fantasy Gaming and roleplay gaming in general. It is believed that over 4 million people have played on dining tables around the world the game that made him famous. These players include famous names like movie hardman Vin Diesel and funny man Robin Williams.
All of the great games of the moment from MMORP World of Warcraft to CCG Magic the Gathering and Warhammer to Pokemon can trace their roots back to the point where Gary and Dave Arneson created this classic game.
So this weekend blow the dust off your dice and make some THACO rolls the against dungeon denizens as a mark of respect to his great mind and boundless imagination.
